but the book the google made me think of it and now i understand

ReplyDeleteYou are right, this story does have the seven stars of Matariki in it. I like that you have opened up to this wonderful Māori legend, there are lots of others like 'How Māui Slowed the Sun' that you may like.
A friendly reminder; this activity asks you to write a summary of what the book is about, next time it would be great if you could write a little bit about what the story is about.
I remember reading this story, it really irked me how Metai's brothers didn't take the time to listen to him. The brother's wives were really evil, I wonder if they are still as scheming even as stars.. What do you think happened after the brothers returned to their home?
