activity 2 guardians of the see

i dont actually believe in this kind of storys
because if there were this big giant sized thing it would
kill any human goes there .
and the size of the jiant looks like it can cover the hole waikato river
and people goes to beaches and every thing so if this giant see them he can kill them
and with this size this giant cant even take a turn in the waikato river so i think there is nothing like this .

  2. Hi Dhanonjoy,

It's Leslie here, a member of the Summer Learning Journey team, reading your blog from my home in wintry Canada.

I think you've made a good argument as to why you don't believe in the taniwha. I think you're suggesting that a huge creature would have been seen and captured by now, if it actually existed. That seems quite logical.

Did you watch the video linked to this activity? I wonder if you have any ideas, other than there being a taniwha, that would explain the huge eruption of bubbles that happens on the Waikato River. It's pretty interesting and odd, isn't it, that these bubbles just explode on the surface of the river every once in a while?

There are mysteries everywhere in the world and people are always challenged to try to explain them. In Canada we have a creature that has been called "Big Foot" that supposedly lives in the mountains out west. It leaves huge footprints in the snow that no one can explain other than to say that there is a huge person/animal hiding in the woods. Who knows???

I hope you've enjoyed doing these SLJ activities and thinking about all there is to know about the world around us!

I'll continue to enjoy reading your blog.

    Cheers,

    Leslie
