  1. Kia ora Dhanonjoy,

What an awesome acrostic poem you have put together about summer. You have painted a beautiful picture of what a New Zealand summer looks like. I was out in the sunshine last weekend and I wish I took an umbrella with me as it was unbearably hot. My son, Nico, and I definitely got an ice cream that day. That is a summer essential. Well done on thinking hard about your poem and following the instructions on creating an acrostic poem. I will award you full points for this activity.

Next time, be sure to read the question carefully, as it asked you to create an acrostic poem using the letters of the work 'lights'. This poem was to describe the Southern Lights. This display of lights is apparently absolutely stunning. I am yet to see this wonderful show in person but will hopefully I will make my way to the South Island and witness it for myself. To completely explain what this looks like, it is like a projector is shining into the atmosphere with colours bouncing across the clear night sky.

Well done on all your hard work over the summer, Dhanonjoy.

    Ngā mihi,
    Megan :)
